Baby boomers love reminiscing about the old days – and complaining today’s kids have it easy! From the threat of nuclear war to jobs without flex time, they faced realities many millennials can’t grasp. Here are 17 challenges that gave boomers thicker skin and a claim to being the unluckiest generation. Do they have a point?

Job Instability

Boomers experienced major economic shifts and periods of high unemployment, leading to less job security than later generations.
