Learn how to become a member of the Walmart Spark Reviewer Program!
If you’re someone who loves trying out new products and sharing your thoughts with others, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. As a Walmart Spark Reviewer, you’ll have the chance to get your hands on free products in exchange for writing reviews about them on Walmart’s website. In this post, we’ll give you all the details you need to know about the program, including how to apply, what types of products you can review, and what the review process is like. Let’s get started!
What is Walmart Spark Reviewer Program?
Walmart Spark Reviewer is a review program that gives its members the chance to write reviews about products they like and receive free products in exchange for their reviews. (You can even choose the products you want to review.) Â
Walmart’s Spark Reviewer enables a group of Walmart customers to try products in exchange for honest reviews. These reviews help other customers make educated purchase decisions on www.walmart.com. Walmart does not influence the opinions of Spark Reviewer members, nor do they change or edit reviews received from them. They want honest opinions from people like you!
And the best part! Everything you review….. you get to keep!
The Walmart Spark Reviewer Program provides a way for Walmart to get honest product reviews from real customers. In exchange for your review, you will receive FREE products.
How does the Walmart Spark Program Work?
- Join the Club: The program is invite-only. To be considered, sign up for Walmart’s emails and keep an eye out for an invitation.
- Get Products: Once you’re in, Walmart will send you products, sometimes even before they’re available to the general public.
- Share Your Thoughts: After using the products, share your honest feedback on Walmart’s website.
A Spark reviewer reports that Walmart sends a list of about 100 items each month, ranging from groceries to furniture. Members are free to choose 1 – 3 products that most interest them in the monthly campaigns. Spark reviewers test the products and write reviews.
Active members are invited to each campaign in waves. These waves are designed to prioritize those members with a solid track record of writing reviews on products received. Reviews must be 200 words or longer, and all reviews meeting this requirement are posted, whether they are positive or negative in tone. Spark Reviewer members are allowed to keep all products they receive!
They request that each reviewer leave honest and unbiased reviews. You are not obligated to leave positive reviews just because the item was free.
The Spark Reviewer Program took a brief hiatus in 2016 but has since returned, better than ever. Now, members get to choose from a wider range of products every month.
How to Become a Walmart Spark Reviewer
Customers are invited to become Spark Reviewer members based on the trust they have earned with Walmart by writing accurate and insightful reviews or being involved in another one of Walmart’s feedback forums.
Spark reviewers are chosen on the basis of the quality and quantity of the reviews they wrote before they were invited into the program, and most also took the time to answer other consumer’s questions at Walmart.com. So basically write good reviews on Walmart.com and you have a chance to be picked! Make sure to also answer questions on the product pages for more chances.
I would go visit Walmart’s site and start by writing reviews for anything I have purchased. Make sure your writing honest and unbiased reviews of each item. Also, make sure to be detailed and give pros and cons of the item. They don’t look for quantity but quality when sending out invites. They are looking for people who write detailed honest reviews that help other shoppers decide to make a purchase. Never just write, it’s good or I like it. Leave a detailed review and you will have much better chances to get picked.
This sounds awesome right? I’m heading over to Walmart.com now to write some reviews on my purchases. Let me know if you get picked ….or if your already a member. Good luck!
If your already a member leave a comment below and let us know how many reviews you wrote before you got the coveted invite.

This is rite up my alley.I love to write reviews on all my products .I feel everyone should know what they are buying. I know I do and I read all reviews first before I buy.
Proud member…..I really enjoy this program and feel very blessed to have been chosen for this program
How many reviews had you done before you got picked?
Honestly Hun, I have no clue! I’ve been ordering from Walmart since 2009 and been reviewing since that time….my only guess is you have to make a lot or reviews or answer tons of questions…. I just got picked last year in October….almost did not accept the invite because I thought it was a scam…I had to go on Google to search just to see if it was real. Hey, if you do not have a walmart account just create one and you don’t have to purchase anything just answer questions from people who are curious of a product that they are contemplating on purchasing, you can get picked that way as well. Good Luck!
Thank you so much! Great info.
You Welcome!
I just received email last week that they were ending the program. I have been a member for about a year. Sad to see it go. The only problem I ever had was all the good stuff was usually taken by the time it was opened for choosing in Florida. It was opened for selection by time zone so if you were 2 hours ahead all those people got to order all the good stuff! I still enjoyed reviewing but not sure if you can write a 200 word review on toothpaste or body wash! I received car seats, crib bedding, breast pumps, nerf guns, it was just according to what they were allowing people to review each month. I never got to the coffee makers, comforter sets, tv stands, night stands the really good stuff! LOL
yep you are behind. I was a member for over a year and they canceled the program.
After being discontinued in March 2016, Walmart’s Spark Reviewer Program is back on beginning March 8, 2017.
Thanks so much for the info!
How do you get an invitation for the program?
Wow this is awesome. I am already part of the Target reviewer program and would love to be part of this program. Thanks for posting this. I need to check out some of my past purchases and do some reviews for Walmart.
