Equifax Might Owe You $125 if Your Info Was in a Data Breach

In September of 2017, Equifax announced it experienced a data breach, which impacted the personal information of approximately 147 million people.  If you were one of those people, you are eligible from compensation.

Affected consumers can get Free Credit Monitoring or a $125 Cash Payment. You can get free credit monitoring services. Or, if you already have credit monitoring services, you can request a $125 cash payment.  If you had your identity stolen and incurred loss, you could be eligible for ash payments up to $20,000.

How to see if your eligible

  • Click this link and then scroll down and click on “Find out if your information was impacted
  • Enter your info so they can check if you are affected
  • If it says you were impacted, click on file a claim and then submit your claim online.

Deadline to file a claim is January 22, 2020.  Please note that none of these benefits will be distributed or available until the settlement is finally approved by the Court.
