This program is a win-win for both Best Buy and the tech insiders.
What is the Best Buy Tech Insider Program?
Tech Insiders is Best Buy’s rating and review program. The Tech Insider Network program allows Best Buy’s most trusted reviewers to provide honest and unbiased feedback to be posted at BestBuy.com. Basically, Best Buy is giving out free products in exchange for leaving a review!
Authentic reviews are very important in helping shoppers make buying decisions. Through the Tech Insider Network program, Best Buy seeks to attain more authentic product reviews.
How Tech Insiders Works
The Best Buy Tech Insider Network Program enables select Best Buy customers to try products in exchange for honest reviews. Reviews help other customers make educated purchase decisions on www.bestbuy.com. Since Tech Insider Network members will sometimes receive access to products that are not yet available on the market, their opinions may be among the first posted on a product’s detail page. This helps shoppers make better decisions when shopping online.
Members are not paid to participate in the program nor are they paid to write reviews. There is no pressure or expectation to write positive reviews, and negative reviews do not affect membership in the program.
How to Join Tech Insiders
The program is Invite only. Tech Insiders are chosen on the basis of the quality and quantity of the reviews they wrote before they were invited into the program, and most also took the time to answer other consumer’s questions at Best Buy.com. You can read more about Tech Insiders at this link.
Tech Insider Network members are selected based on criteria such as the number of reviews written, previous involvement in one of our trusted Best Buy communities, and membership availability.
So basically write good reviews and answer questions on Bestbuy.com and you have a chance to be picked! If you check any product page on Best Buy website, you can look for the “Tech Insider Network” badge to see the kinds of reviews people who were chosen left.
You can leave reviews for products that you purchased at other stores, but you won’t have a verified purchase badge.
