FREE Kids Books From Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program

Calling all young bookworms! Barnes & Noble is spreading the joy of reading this summer by giving kids the opportunity to snag free books. From now until August 31st, children in grades 1-6 can participate in the Summer Reading Program, where they can choose a free book of their choice after reading eight books and recording their favorite parts.

Attention all parents and bookworms! Barnes & Noble is back with an exciting opportunity for young readers to dive into the world of books this summer. The Summer Reading Program is here, and kids in grades 1-6 have a chance to earn a FREE book of their choice. It’s the perfect way to keep young minds engaged and inspired during the summer break.

Participating in the Summer Reading Program is easy and fun. Here’s what you need to know:

  1. Download the summer reading journal: To get started, download the summer reading journal from the Barnes & Noble website. Alternatively, you can pick up a physical copy from your local Barnes & Noble store. The journal is available in a convenient printable format.
  2. Read eight books: Encourage your child to explore the magical realms of literature by reading any eight books of their choice during the summer. These can be fiction or non-fiction, classics or contemporary tales—it’s completely up to them! As they finish each book, have them record the title and author in the journal, along with their favorite part or an exciting moment from the story.
  3. Visit Barnes & Noble: Between July 1 and August 31, 2023, take a trip to your nearest Barnes & Noble store. Locate the customer service desk and proudly turn in the completed summer reading journal. It’s a moment of accomplishment for your young reader!
  4. Choose a free book: The highlight of the program is choosing a free book from a fantastic selection of titles listed in the reading journal. With a variety of genres and subjects to choose from, your child is sure to find a book that captivates their imagination. Let them explore new worlds, embark on thrilling adventures, or learn about fascinating topics—all through the power of reading.

Please note that this program is available at all Barnes & Noble stores, and each customer can redeem the coupon once for a free book while supplies last. The coupon is valid from July 1 to August 31, 2023.
